Pius joined Qona SACCO Board in 2020 and was re-elected for a second term in 2023. He is currently serving as the Vice Chairman and Chairman Business Development Committee. He is a seasoned HR Professional with over 23 years experience and previously held the role of Executive Head of Department Reward & Organization Effectiveness at Safaricom Ethiopia.
His experience spans in the areas of resourcing, Organization design, job analysis, evaluation, and HR due diligence having worked at KPMG, Deloitte and PWC.
Education & Qualifications
Pius holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree first class honors from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He is a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) and holds a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management and an Executive Diploma in Industrial Relations from the United States International University.
He is also a member of the Institute of Directors (IOD) Kenya. He led the Reward functions at Safaricom Telecommunications Ethiopia PLC, Safaricom PLC, Bamburi Cement, Hima Cement Uganda and Ericsson Kenya Limited (covering 8 Countries in Hub East, Sub-Saharan Africa Region).
